Weedfree work with Balfour Beatty and Network Rail on the MPV Weed Spray trains across the UK
Weedfree trained operators help with the maintenance and the refilling of the Chemical to the weed spray trains in the south of the UK. Ensuring the correct chemicals and application rates are followed along with providing and filling the water ready for the shift to take place.
Our train captains then take out the train to spray the Network and keep it as weed free as possible.
During the second application our spray train operators use the side modules to target the weeds that are wider out and growing back towards the running rail.
Keeping on top of the vegetation and weeds that grow on the UK railways helps keep rain water running away from the railway line and ensure the tracks do not flood. It also makes sure that there the room needed to keep safe at all times for the many workers on the network.
